Steel-It: Alkyd Primer 1 Gallon 

New Chemistry formula that is a direct replacement of the 2203 Alkyd Precoat offering improved durability. STEEL-IT 2213 is specifically designed for use with STEEL-IT 1002 or 1012 Polyurethane Topcoat when (1) weldability is not a desired benefit and (2) where, in certain environments, the substrate may become exposed (e.g., a forklift grazes a machine). In such an instance, STEEL-IT 2213 provides the added benefit of practically preventing corrosion on the exposed substrate from propagating.

Features:

• Intended for use with STEEL-IT 1002 Steel Gray Polyurethane Topcoat or the STEEL-IT 1012 Black Polyurethane Topcoat
• Direct weldability is compromised when using the precoat with the Polyurethane Topcoat
• For applications where welding on the cured coating is a priority, it is recommended to exclude the precoat and instead apply two coats of the Polyurethane Topcoat directly onto properly prepared and profiled bare metal surfaces
• Single component, air dry coating
• Severely inhibits corrosion from propagating above or below the coating should the substrate become exposed
